Yesterday seven MAGC ladies played in the Ladies National Competition hosted by Dunham Forest Golf Club. The format for the day was three singles and two doubles competitions.
The singles players were Helen Edge, Hilary Jackson and Marilynne Jackson; the doubles pairings were Denise Port and Elaine Simon plus Rosie Bott and Chris Russell. All the ladies played very well with Moor Allerton coming third overall against some stiff opposition.
We are pleased to announce that we didn’t come home empty handed with Helen Edge winning the trophy for runner up in the singles with a nett 74. Many congratulations to her.
A number of MAGC members, including Mr Captain, travelled to Dunham and their support was very much appreciated by the team. Dunham Forest were excellent hosts and provided an exceptional afternoon tea, and the weather was kind.
All in all a grand day out!
