With golf in the news almost every day are you thinking it’s a sport you would like to try?
To help encourage people to ‘Get Into Golf’, on Saturday 20th June Moor Allerton Golf Club are holding an Open Day from 10.00 to 4.00 for anyone interested in giving golf a try. On offer are 1 hour free small group tuition slots for juniors (boys and girls) and ladies. Assistant professionals Lewis and Ellie will head up these sessions.
Moor Allerton Golf Club has a fantastic junior section, 50+ strong, which is very active in the local leagues and has been winning lots of silverware. Six also play at Yorkshire County level. Members of the junior section have largely come through the academy sessions held during school holidays, and this summer also will provide further opportunities for interested juniors to progress their interest in the sport still further.
Golf is a great sport for ladies and an introductory session is a good way to see if golf is for you. It’s an excellent way to meet people combined with getting some exercise – or come along with some friends. Ellie will show you that golf can be great fun and we can offer bespoke teaching packages tailored to individual needs.
In addition, for established golfers, James Whitaker, the head professional, will hold individual half-hour fitting appointments using Trackman technology – a great opportunity to try out the latest clubs on the market.
Moor Allerton is recognised as a leading Yorkshire club and, with 27 holes, means that you can play golf on your terms with ‘arrive and play’. This means no booking, arrive whenever you like and be playing within minutes, any day of the week.
So, if you want to ‘Get Into Golf’, book your slot by calling the Pro Shop on 0113 266 5209.
